Choosing a counsellor that you feel comfortable with is often a matter of personal choice. To help you in making this important decision, booking a free initial consultation gives us the chance to meet and find out if working together may be the right fit for you.

If you are unemployed, low income or in financial need, we are pleased to offer low-cost or sliding-scale rates by our Intern Counsellors, Practicum Student Counsellors or fully licensed RCC therapists (space permitting). Our practicum students may also be able to offer free counselling to those in financial need depending on their caseload/availability. Credit card is our preferred payment method. It is contactless and secure and can be automatically charged through on our end after each session so that we dedicate more of our time with you to therapy. We also accept Interac e-Transfer (and cash and cheque at in-person sessions). Receipts are sent by email following each session.
At least 24-hour notice required.
If you wish to claim our therapy sessions, please check with your insurance provider before booking with us that your insurance plan covers services provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). A receipt is provided following each session, which you can submit with your insurance claim. Direct billing is currently not available, except for clients with funding from ICBC, FNHA, CVAP or Hollyburn's Foster Parent Support Program.

Our practice specializes in a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, stress management, life transitions, relationship challenges, and personal growth.
We also specialize in working with family-related issues such as parenting or family-related challenges, couples therapy for parent couples, and overcoming childhood wounds.
We employ evidence-based therapies tailored to individual needs such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals, couples and families, Narrative Therapy, and trauma therapies such as EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
Sessions typically last 50 minutes (or up to 80-90 minutes depending on the practitioner and therapeutic modality used). Fees vary based on the service and therapist.
