Olivia (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who supports adults with anxiety, depression, OCD, and complex mental health concerns (e.g., psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar) in collaboration with medical care. She also works with students, substance use, and relationship/family challenges. Her style is warm, practical, and collaborative. She offers counselling in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin via secure video or phone.

Daria (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who supports clients navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship patterns, work‑related stress/PTSD, immigration stress, and life decisions (including family‑building). Her style is warm, steady, and relational. She offers in‑person and virtual sessions with daytime and evening availability.

Kushal (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who supports teens and adults, couples, and families, often for issues such as self‑compassion, boundaries, relationship and family conflict, intergenerational and immigration‑related stress, and neurodiversity (including ADHD/OCD/autism‑related concerns). Her style is warm, collaborative, and culturally attuned. She offers counselling in English and Punjabi, in‑person and online, with day/evening/weekend options.

Suzanna (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who supports adults, couples, families, and young children. She may be a good fit for those seeking help with anxiety, low mood, relationship and communication patterns, parenting support (including co‑parenting and early childhood regulation), and neurodiversity (autism/ADHD). Her style is gentle, thoughtful, and collaborative. She offers in‑person and online sessions with day/evening/weekend options. She provides sessions in English, and also individual therapy in French.

Marlae (she/her) believes in establishing a safe and empathetic space that allows for deeper exploration of the significant stories and events that can ultimately shape our lives. She draws from Narrative Therapy and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy to promote exploration of self and/or relationships. She is passionate about supporting personal transformation through the enhancement of self-efficacy, resilience, the ability to cope with stress and/or significant life changes, and change-oriented interventions. She has over 14 years’ experience supporting families and individuals through a person-centered and strengths-based lens.

Ghazaleh (she/her) is a Practicum Student Counsellor currently completing a Master of Counselling degree at City University. She is suited to helping adults navigating depression, anxiety, grief, identity and attachment wounds, trauma/intergenerational trauma, and for couples seeking support with communication and repair. She has experience supporting people from diverse cultures and migratory histories and is passionate about supporting individuals as they explore identity, emotional well-being, family dynamics, and the impact of culture and systems on their lives. Ghazaleh offers therapy in Farsi and English.

Beatriz (she/her) is a Practicum Student Counsellor completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology (MCP) at Adler University. She may be a good fit for those seeking calm from anxiety and racing thoughts, support with depression or grief, stronger boundaries and self‑compassion, and healing after abuse (in a safe context). Her approach is warm, culturally responsive, and empowering, while grounded in an Adlerian framework. She honours clients as experts in their own lives wihle creating a warm, culturally attuned space for growth and meaningful change. Beatriz offers therapy in English and Spanish.

Samuel (he/him) is an Expressive Arts Therapist (ExAT), artist and musician. His work as an Expressive Arts Therapist offers safe pathways for navigating through times of difficulty and concern, both personal and relational. Through dialogue, creativity and embodiment, the underlying meanings are explored leading to understanding and compassion. Samuel’s work includes ancestral healing, conflict resolution in relationships and play-therapy for youth. His work strives toward cultivating self-compassion and empathy for those around us. Taking a Buddhist perspective on suffering, Samuel aims to restore agency, mental wellness and connection.

Amandeep (he/him) is a clinical supervisor specializing in the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to help clients target recurring negative thoughts and to help improve their mood and behaviour.

Shalene (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, BCACC-Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS), Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDRIA-Approved Consultant-in-Training (CIT), as well as the Owner/Founder of Safe Space Counselling Services. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and has been working in the field of mental health since 2009. Since 2012, she has been working for non-profit and community agencies providing counselling to individuals, couples and families, and she has been working in private practice since 2016. In addition to being a therapist, she provides clinical supervision/consultation to Master's-level psychology students and professionals.

Our practice specializes in a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, stress management, life transitions, relationship challenges, and personal growth.
We also specialize in working with family-related issues such as parenting or family-related challenges, couples therapy for parent couples, and overcoming childhood wounds.
We employ evidence-based therapies tailored to individual needs such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals, couples and families, Narrative Therapy, and trauma therapies such as EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
Sessions typically last 50 minutes (or up to 80-90 minutes depending on the practitioner and therapeutic modality used). Fees vary based on the service and therapist.
